TWA Hotel
Updated: Jul 9
We decided to take a trip down memory lane and stayed at the historic TWA terminal which is now the TWA Hotel.

This hotel was opened on May 19, 2019. It uses the main TWA Flight Center old terminal that was designed in 1962 by Eero Saarinen. The TWA Flight Center closed in 2001, and was protected from demolition as it was designated as a national landmark. Later on, JetBlue and a hotel developer decided to negotiate turning this into a hotel in 2015.
The Lockheed Constellation L-1649 Starliner seen here was converted into a bar, where you can grab a drink and snacks during your stay.

Below you can scroll through some historic pictures of the old TWA terminal below:
The pool which is on the rooftop overlooks the JFK airport. You can literally sit in the pool which is heated during the wintertime and watch the planes take off.
