Fairmont Mayakoba
After spending a day at Isla Mujeres we drove down to the Mayakoba region to check into the Fairmont. I have been wanting to check out this area because of the canals and activities. If you are looking at coming to Cancun, and you are bringing your kids or just like to golf and do other activities on the resort property we definitely recommend coming to any of the resorts in this area.

After checking in we discovered a few things to do on the property. The activities are endless, but some of the things to choose from are bicycle riding around the properties and to the beach. They also have boat tours through the canals, golf, kayaks, a cenote, el pueblito, and tons of restaurants to check out on the properties as well. All the properties share bicycles and you can easily go over to another resort. The resorts that share these amenities at the Mayakoba are the Fairmont, Andaz, Banyan Tree, and Rosewood. You can easily take a bike to get over to another bar or restaurant or grab a golf cart or SUV from each property back to your room.

There are tons of pools on the property including a kids area with a pool that has a water slide. There is also an infinity pool overlooking the canal, and many pools on the beach. We enjoyed all the pools that were here, and Mckenna really liked the waterslide.

To Head back to the US this time we needed to get a Covid-19 test as the government requires a negative test upon re-entry. It was nice that the Fairmont had a company on site that was really easy to book and emailed us the required information within an hour. They made is stress free, and accepted credit cards.
